Merchant Card Service - Merchant Options - Retail - iTerminal
Overview
Paymentech Solutions is pleased to announce the release of a new retail-enabled
internet authorization and settlement product, iTerminal. iTerminal is an application
that resides on Chase Paymentech web servers and allows merchants to connect
to it suing the Internet. This product supports transaction processing for
the retail card-present environment. With iTerminal, merchants have the processing
capabilities of a physical point-of-sale terminal from their web-enabled personal
computer paired with an external card reader.
Features
 Web interface application
iTerminal acts as an interface to systems for the merchant. It allows them
to perform transaction requests just as they would with a terminal in a physical
location, such as: sales, authorizations, refunds, voids, prior authorized
sales and settlement. The required card reader uses a USB connection to the
computer and communicates through an existing internet connection - no additional
phone line is needed.

Secure, flexible access
A multi-level user logon system protects against unauthorized use:
- Store Regular Access: This user is required to enter the correct access codes where enabled.
- Admin Read Only Access: This user has read only rights to iTerminal screens with the exception
of generating reports
- Manager Full Access: There are no security restrictions with this access. This is a corporate level user
who has full rights to everything.

Searchable transaction history and reports
iTerminal retains six months' transaction history for merchants to access. Researching past orders by card
number, invoice number, date, amount range, Clerk ID and more is an invaluable tool in resolving customer
inquires and monitoring activity.

Who's Right For iTerminal?
iTerminal is designed for small to middle-sized retail merchants and corporate offices using card present environments.
Requirements
Minimum browser and operating system requirements are:
- Windows NT, 2000, 98 and XP: Internet Explorer 6.0 and/or Netscape 6.2, Firefox 1.1, Opera 6.0
- Windows NT, 2000, and 98: Internet Explorer 5.5 and/or Netscape 4.79, Opera 6.0
- Macintosh OSX: Internet Explorer 5.0
- Apple OSX: Safari 1.0
A USB port must be available for the connectivity of a card reader. USB may be version 1.1 or 2.0.
Required Peripheral:
- Magtek Card Reader
- Allows a card swipe to be communicated to the iTerminal URL.
- Users a USB connection.
- Magtek Card Readers are available through our TASQ deployment center.
Required Peripheral: Printer
Use a printer compatible with the merchant computer hardware. A printer is required to print receipts.
